K-Con Power & Steel has a moral and legal obligation to safeguard its employees and those of its
clients, visitors or anyone that may enter our work site. We have the same moral and legal obligation
regarding the protection and safeguarding of the natural environment.
We are committed to the creation of a safe workplace for all and protecting the natural environment
by:
Complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993,
Complying with relevant environmental legislation,
Following recognised good practices,
Maintaining awareness of relevant health, safety and environmental issues amongst all our
employees,
Providing the necessary tools, equipment and knowledge to all employees,
Give recognition to encourage the maintaining of standards,
Identify then eliminate or control all risks,
Maintain all equipment in a safe and good working order,
Controlling the use and handling of hazardous substances form first contact to disposal,
Protecting our workforce against all health risks by providing the correct know how and equipment,
Providing HIV & AIDS information on an ongoing basses,
Receiving and acting on feedback from our employees and clients,
Pre shift “Toolbox” talks and post shift feedback sessions with all involved,
Managerial Commitment to all aspects of Safety, Health and the Environment.
As contractors we more often than not work on our client’s site. We are therefore committed to comply
with all site specific and client safety, health and environmental rules, regulations, standards,
procedures and policies. We endeavour to work with the client appointed officials to ensure compliance.
We Support the ZERO Tolerance Philosophy regarding all related safety, health and environmental
non-compliances.
